STAAR Testing is Almost Here!

STAAR testing is right around the corner, and we are so proud of all the hard work our students have put in this year! These assessments give students the opportunity to show what they’ve learned and help us understand how best to support them moving forward.

🗓 STAAR Testing Dates:

• April 14 – Reading STAAR (Grades 3–5)
• April 22 – Science STAAR (Grade 5 only)
• April 23 – Math STAAR (Grades 3–5)

💡 How Families Can Help – The Night Before:

• Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep
• Prepare a healthy dinner and limit screen time
• Set out clothes and pack backpacks to avoid morning stress
• Offer encouragement and remind them they are prepared!

🌞 The Morning of the Test:

• Eat a healthy breakfast (protein helps with focus!)
• Arrive at school on time and relaxed
• Bring a positive attitude and confidence!

❤️ Ways to Encourage Your Child:

• Remind them to take their time and do their best
• Encourage them to read carefully and check their work
• Celebrate their effort—not just the score!
• Share positive words like: “You’ve got this!” and “I’m proud of you!”
